Live to Work
They say that all work and no play used to make Jack a dull boy. But if you enjoy your job, why not spend a few hours extra doing it?
Many people find their jobs as enjoyable as their social life, in fact many peoples jobs are their social lives.

PageRank and NoFollow, follow up
Tuesday, June 16th, 2009The head of the Google Anti Spam team, Matt Cutts has clarified Google position on this ‘NoFollow’ and ‘PageRank’ debate thats been raging for the last week or so, and that I posted about last week: “The PageRank and NoFollow bombshell“.
The PageRank and NoFollow “bombshell”
Thursday, June 4th, 2009Anyone with an interest in SEO and especially how adding ‘NoFollow’ to hyperlinks interacts with PageRank will probably already be aware of the change that Google has ’sort of’ announced. Read more on SEOMoz if not. Perhaps you also are up in arms about the whole thing? Stop Forum Spam!
Monday, June 1st, 2009Just a quick post this morning, which is to big up the Stop Forum Spam website.
We use the vBulletin software and despite having all our external links being ‘nofollow’ we still get targeted by spammers. It is normally pretty obvious which members are spammers before they even post, but what Stop Forum Spam does is to allow you to check their email address, IP Address or username against their database first so you can delete the member before they start posting. No-one is going to be daft enough to follow their links anyway, but if left unchecked it can start to clog up the forums and cause annoyance to members.
If you use the Stop Forum Spam service, please obtain an API key and start contributing your own spam finds – it helps keep the spammers at bay and means discussion forums stay useful places.
