In April 2007, A List Apart conducted a survey of people who make websites. I, like 33,000 other people gladly answered the surveys 37 questions, and I’m glad to say that the survey is now available to view.

I’ll let you have a proper look through the findings, but we’ll each find something that is very interesting to each us. For me, the following facts stood out:

• As a female, I’m in the minority gender of people involved in the web industry. No surprise really, but only 16% female? That’s lower that I expected.
• We’re also more satisfied with our jobs – 50% in fact. Only 43% of chaps were satisfied with theirs.
• Over 70% of people in the industry have a blog. Who, me?!
• 3% of webmasters earn over $100k, thats £50k to us brits. Wowzers, giz a job!
