Firstly, let me introduce myself. I am a Webmaster. If you are one, you will know what we do, if you aren’t, well, I haven’t time to go into the details now. But I will explain over the coming weeks, months and years, just what you need to know to be a webmaster. That is, someone who maintains and develops a website.

Anyway, my name is Natalie and, yes, I am a webmaster. Some people think I should be called a Webmistress, but I think that sounds a bit kinky so Webmaster it is. I look after a pretty big website for a pretty big company, you’re pretty likely to have heard of. The job is as varied as they come – from SEO work, to development work, to renewing domain names, to the day to day maintenance. There is never a dull day, and to be honest, never a day long enough to fit everything in. But fit it in I do, and in doing so, myself and the other thousands of us around the world keep all those websites you use everyday, running.

So let me introduce to you, the act you’ve known for all these years, The Webmaster.
