It looks like it happened in the last few days (reports suggest 10th to 14th January) and it is a cause to get excited! Well, for me anyway as this blog, NearlyHomeTime.com, now has one!

It’s only PR1, but its a start, and most importantly its feedback against the work I have been doing. I have been doing very little, in fact almost nothing to get any back links onto the site. What I have wanted to do is to create decent (albeit not much so far!) content, with well constructed, search engine friendly pages. I have been complying with the Google Webmaster Guidelines, and checking Google Webmaster Tools frequently to keep in top of errors and stuff.

All I need now are more interesting learnings, musings and top tips, and we might even join the dizzy height or PR2!

PS. I’ve just read an interesting article on Andy Beards site about this latest update. It appears as though the Google Directory has apparently been updated from DMOZ…
